“Happy Hour Drink Special: Christmas Breeze”

Ambro’s Happy Hour Drink special for today is ~ Christmas breeze!

1 ounce hyper vodka,

1 ounce 1 barrel dark rum,

ambro drink3/4 ounce lime juice

shake well together with mint leaves and 3 ounce sprite with a dash of grenadine syrup.

Serve on ice, sit back, relax and enjoy!

“Hamanasi Mango Sangria”

Mango season is here once again and King is exploring many ways on how to enjoy them.   You got to try out his Mango Sangria.  The following are the ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup lime squash concentrate
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • 1 ripe mango, medium dice
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lime, sliced into rounds
  • 1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
  • 8 maraschino cherries
  • 2 cups carbonated water (optional)

In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the brandy, lemon juice, lime squash, orange juice, red wine, triple sec, and sugar. Float slices of mango, pineapple, lime, orange, and maraschino cherries in the mixture. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor. For a fizzy sangria, add club soda just before serving.


Friday Happy Hour Drink Special: Twisted Old Fashioned Limeade

Mark spruced up this Evening’s Happy Hour Drink Special from a simple Lime Juice to a Twisted Old Fashion Limeade.

We started with Lime juice,

a shot of Lemon Light  Rum,

a shot of Lite rum,

a touch of Blue Curacau for some color,

and some Sprite to fizz things up.

Its all shaken and served in a Martini glass with a slice of lime and a cherry.

Fridays Happy Hour Drink Special “Melonpine Smash “

Hamanasi Goombay drink

Refreshing Melonpine smash drink prepared by Mark.  Very Refreshing and tropical!!!

Check out the ingredients.

1 oz coconut Rum

1 oz One barrel Rum

1 oz melon liqueur

3 oz pineapple juice

Chopped up pineapple

Blend  and garnish with pineapple and cherries.  Top of with grenadine syrup!

Friday Happy Hour Drink Special: King’s “Hamanasi Pride”

 He’s done it again!  King uses local ingredients to create a fresh, tropical sensation that’s perfect for hot summer days!  If you can’t get star fruit, your favorite citrus will compliment the cucumber juice just fine.

“Hamanasi Pride” combines:  Fresh Cucumber Juice, Fresh Star Fruit Juice, Fresh Mint Leaves (crushed), Light Rum and sweet & sour mix.  Add ice, shake and enjoy!

It’s mango season!!!  Twice a year, June and December, the village trees are dripping with hundreds of mangoes in a huge variety of color, taste and texture! We use them in everything from a delicious reduction sauce for dinner, freshly sliced at breakfast, and now in this Happy Hour creation for a smooth, fruity delight:

Mix:  Fresh Orange Juice, Fresh Lime Juice, Vodka, Light Rum, Simple Syrup and blend with a small amount of ice.  Garnish with freshly sliced mango and a cherry!

An unusual ingredient gives this smooth, tropical drink a delicious twist.   Give this one a try at home, and even add your own special twist…


One Barrel rum, fresh orange juice, condensed milk, coconut cream, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and…..sweet corn (yes, corn!).  Blend with and garnish!

Travel Adventurers + Friday Happy Hour Drink Special = “Belizean Passion”

In April of 2006 travelers Karen Catchpole (writer) and Eric Mohl (photographer) left their jobs and apartment in New York City and embarked on the Trans-Americas Journey, a five year, 200,000 mile cross-country and cross-continental drive.

The overland journey is an exploration of the byways and back roads of North America, Central America and South America and a search for the people, places and things that make every place special. A true Pan-American road trip. In December of 2008 the Trans-Americas Journey wrapped up its time in the US and Canada and crossed the border into Mexico where Karen and Eric will spend the coming months exploring, shooting and writing before venturing further south through Latin America until they run out of road.

They have now found their way to Hamanasi!  Welcome Karen and Eric… and enjoy the “Belizean Passion”!

1/2 oz. Peach Schnapps

1 oz Light Rim

1/2 oz Ameretto

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

1 1/2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
