Then Catch a Domestic Connecting Flight

From the Belize International Airport you can connect to Dangriga on Maya Island Air or Tropic Air. Contact our staff with your international flight information and we can arrange this flight for you, as well as an airport transfer from Dangriga to Hamanasi. The flighttime for your connecting flight is approximately 20 minutes, typically in a 14-passenger plane. Technically there is a weight restriction on these domestic flights of 40 pounds per bag. Most of our guests’ luggage weighs more than that. If there are weight or space restrictions on your flight your luggage will be sent on the next available flight, which could be the following day. Please be sure to take any valuables and medications in the cabin with you rather than in your checked luggage. During the flight you’ll have great views of the countryside, so keep your camera handy!

Or Drive Directly to Hamanasi

While it is easiest to get to Hamanasi if you fly to Dangriga, some guests choose to drive. Please be aware of poor signage, few street lights, unmarked one lane bridges and slippery conditions. People walk along the edge of roads and dogs often lie on roads — be alert and slow down! Please make sure that you bring your driver’s license. We strongly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle that is insured. Please avoid driving at night. Never drink and drive!
