From the moment we arrived, everything from the lush, intimate grounds to the warm, attentive staff set the tone for an unforgettable experience in Belize. This resort is perfect for travelers who want real adventure paired with genuine downtime. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was consistently excellent, and the overall vibe struck that rare balance of laid-back luxury and authentic local charm. We packed our days with experiences like the jungle canoe, Mayflower waterfall hike, snorkeling, and the Mayan tour, each led by incredibly knowledgeable guides who stayed with us the entire time, sharing history, answering questions, and making sure everything ran smoothly. You never feel rushed or herded; it’s thoughtful, personal, and well-run. One of the best surprises was how small and quaint the resort feels. You truly get to know the staff (they greet you by name every time you walk into a room) and even connect with other guests in a relaxed, social way. The pier became our favorite hangout—lounging in hammocks, spotting manatees, and watching the sunrise over the water was pure magic. A quick note for planning: this is not a resort I’d recommend for families with young kids. There isn’t much for them to do, and at times it can disrupt the otherwise serene, adventure-focused atmosphere that most guests are there for. All in all, Hamanasi is a 10/10. If you’re looking for a place that delivers unforgettable adventures, incredible service, and a peaceful, authentic setting you won’t find better. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Hamanasi provided the most amazing honeymoon experience from start to finish. The service is truly top-tier, the property is gorgeous, and the amazing experiences were unforgettable. Huge shout-outs to the incredible staff who went above and beyond: France and Densel who helped me regain the confidence to get back in the water and scuba diving! Mr. Bol was a wealth of fascinating information on Mayan culture and instantly made us feel at home. And thank you to Phil, Juan, and the bar team for keeping the great drinks flowing along with even better conversations and brain teasers. If you’re looking for paradise and world-class hospitality, Hamanasi is it. We can't wait to return!

My father and I decided to go on a vacation. I wanted something relaxing with being fully inclusive for us both. We went on a few tours, the Mayan Ruins was amazing. The guides were so informative and so friendly, what a beautiful place. We also went on a scuba dive and all of the guides were so happy to help. My father had a bit of a hard time, and the guide spent so much time with him to make sure he was comfortable. Every single person was so kind, they paid extreme attention to detail to everything we were doing, where we were going ect. And lastly, every employ knew our names, they always greeted us by name. It’s a wonderful place. Very beautiful. Food was amazing. And they take very good care of the property.

As so many others have stated, Hamanasi is in a class all its own. We spent 8 nights in a beachfront plus room, which gave us exceptional comfort for our family of 4 (we have two boys, ages 9 and almost 11). We booked a Reef and Rainforest package, and were absolutely blown away with our experience. We felt so well cared for during our stay, on so many levels. The grounds are impeccable. Hamanasi has preserved much of the native tree canopy, which not only provides a beautiful backdrop for the resort but also provides homes for many species of birds as well as a sizeable troop of Coatis, which are fun to watch. The grounds crew rakes the property each morning, a level of care that is just astounding. The restaurant on site provides great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the menu proved to be varied and delicious throughout our stay. For excursions that included meals, the coordination and attention to detail was very impressive, and the meals themselves were tasty. The guide staff was truly the highlight, though. We did snorkeling, birding, canoeing, toured Mayan sites, cave tubing, and did a night hike through the jungle. All of them were super fun, and we felt the enthusiasm of the guides on all of them. I'm a bird nerd, and was able to capture 72 species of birds on our one day birding and around the property. I could go on at length, but suffice it to say that we had an amazing experience that did not disappoint. Kudos to the entire staff, and we hope to visit again.

I give Hamanasi my highest recommendation. We came for a week and booked the double room (separate room with two small beds for the kids) and got the adventure and food package. The adventure package included five expeditions and the food package covered all meals, excluding alcohol and specialty coffee drinks. I've never felt more welcome at a hotel - everywhere we went the stafr said hi and knew our names. The food was excellent and the kitchen is really accommodating and will make you anything so long as they have the ingredients. Special shout out to our guide BJ who we had the pleasure of being with for snorkeling, canoeing, and hiking. We almost never visit the same place twice but will return to Hamanasi in a few years.

Hamanasi Resort in Belize has been our favorite family vacation. My husband and I brought our 11 year old daughter. We wanted a location that was all-inclusive and had SCUBA diving as well as other activities for myself and our daughter, and Hamanasi turned out to exceed all our expectations. They transfer you from the Belize City airport to the resort. The lime fizz drinks they give you on arrival are spectacularly refreshing and our daughter has asked them to recreate them now that we are back in Texas. We stayed in a Deluxe Treehouse which has a master bedroom with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on for a vacation, a living room area with a couch that became a bed for our daughter (which she also said was incredibly comfortable), and a large bathroom with a 2 sided shower. There is also a large balcony with seating areas, hammock, and a hot tub. We stayed in number 30 which was WAY at the back of the property and completely secluded and surrounded by jungle. We loved it. The food at the resort was so freshly prepared and delicious. Our daughter is gluten-free and they were always ready with special muffins, dinner rolls, and cookies on excursions for her. I am vegetarian and there was a separate menu specifically with multiple vegetarian options. Not only did everything meet our dietary needs, but it also tasted delicious. The staff at the resort was amazing; they made you feel like you were family. David , Ector, and Nelson at the bar were spectacular. Areimy and Rina were some of our favorite wait staff in the restaurant. And Risa and Velma were so helpful at the front desk. We stayed 6 nights so got 4 excursions per person included. We did snorkeling, Cockscomb wildlife sanctuary, and Magical Maya History tour all together. My husband did 2 SCUBA diving trips (so 1 was additional) and my daughter and I did Jungle River canoeing and paid extra for Bocawina Ziplining. Additionally, we enjoyed paddle boarding, the pool, and the private garden tour at the resort. It is a relatively expensive vacation, but everything was taken care of, so felt well worth it. We enjoyed the escape from life (no TVs at the resort) and read and relaxed and spent time together. There is sufficient WIFI so still able to connect with the rest of the world. I highly recommend this resort and definitely plan to return!!!

A blissful week in Belize. Although the weather wasn’t the best, we had such a great visit to Belize and Hamanasi. Staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. EVERYONE made an effort to learn our names and preferences. The dining was very good with a menu that changes daily. (Don’t miss the ceviche of the day). The adventures were very interesting with great driver/guides. Wow! We did a day trip to two different Mayan ruins, caving, and bird/nature canoe, a waterfall hike and swim and snorkeling. Lastly from the logistics perspective, they met us at the airport and returned us to the airport. They ran the trips with their own staff and guides - terrific!!!
