The Government of Belize requires all international arrivals to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 96 hours of arrival. Tests can also be done upon arrival at the Belize Philip Goldson International Airport for $50 USD per person. As of January 26, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires all people two and older to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival to enter the USA. Hamanasi has partnered with Belize Diagnostics to provide convenient testing on property for US $75 per person. Additionally, we have implemented many steps to ensure the wellbeing of our guests, employees and communities. Hamanasi also recognizes the great strides made by the Government of Belize and the tourism sector to ensure travelers, employees and communities are safe.
We do recognize that cases of COVID-19 are still increasing worldwide with devastating consequences. Our team shares the deepest concern for those affected either directly or indirectly by the ongoing threat of COVID-19. We hope that you and your family are safe and well. Vaccines are helping to protect individuals and fight the spread of this virus, but we must remain vigilant to new variants as they arise. When you are ready to travel again, everyone at Hamanasi will do our upmost to ensure your safety and health and to provide a much needed respite.
At Hamanasi, we provide authentic connections to nature, starting with our design. As a boutique hotel, we practice social distancing naturally with just 30 rooms on a large property. Our many private treehouses are spaced out within the coastal forest and our beachfront rooms all have separate outdoor entrances. Most of our public spaces are open to fresh air and warm Caribbean breezes. Our first priority, as it has always been, is the continued wellness and safety of our guests and employees. We are taking a number of additional health and safety measures including mask wearing, enhanced cleaning, social distancing and more. We abide by the Belize Government’s guidelines and COVID-19 protocols.
