We stayed in Belize at Hamanasi for 8 wonderful days. The staff at Hamanasi was very accommodating, happy and professional. The snorkel staff was wonderful. They were very patient with first timers and kept us laughing. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Melonie at the front desk was always focused on the customer and tried to accommodate our every need. We were married here and Melonie and Patricia took away all of our worries. Every little detail was taken care of with a smile. The grounds are beautiful. The entire resort is very clean. We elected to go on the Waterfall Hike and unfortunately my husband was bitten over 200 times by the little black pesty flies. We were sure to apply bug repellent before leaving the resort but the water had washed it off of his legs during the hike. The staff tried many different ointments and even had the doctor come to the resort with a Corizone shot. The itching was relentless. Be sure the reapply bug repellent often and perhaps consider wearing long pants in the jungle. The jungle is very hot without much wind but the itching is far worse! We stayed in the Tree House and found it to be perfect for us. Secluded but only a few feet away from the restaurant and beach. The hammock on the porch was relaxing. Even though we decided to visit Belize during the rainy season, it actually only rained one day during our 8 day trip. We met alot of nice people at Hamanasi. We truly had a great time and talk about it often.
