Fly into Belize International Airport (BZE)
All international flights land at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize City (BZE). We recommend that you schedule your international flight to arrive by 4pm in order to make sure you can arrive at Hamanasi on the same day. Later arriving flights may require a longer ground transfer or an overnight stay in Belize City. Please be sure to buy travel insurance to cover unexpected or unavoidable changes in your travel plans. Airlines currently servicing BZE include:
- Air Canada via Toronto
- Alaska Air via Los Angelas (LAX) and Seattle
- American Airlines via Dallas, Miami, and Charlotte

Then Connect to Ground Transportation or a Domestic Flight
- The Hamanasi reservations team can arrange private transportation from the international airport, for a scenic 2.5 hour drive in one of our sanitized tour vans. This is our current recommended option to minimize touchpoints.
- You can connect to Dangriga airstrip on Maya Air or Tropic Air. Our staff can also arrange this flight for you, as well as an airport transfer from Dangriga to Hamanasi. The flight time for your connecting flight is approximately 20 minutes, typically in a 14-passenger plane. During the flight you’ll have great views of the countryside, so keep your camera handy! Note that the wait times for domestic connecting flights are longer and less predictable due to COVID airport procedures and luggage delays are also possible. Please be sure to take any valuables and medications in the cabin with you rather than in your checked luggage. Ask our reservations team for more information.
Or Drive Directly to Hamanasi
While it is easiest to get to Hamanasi via the above options, some guests choose to drive. Please be aware of poor signage, few street lights, and slippery conditions. Be alert and slow down! People walk along the edge of roads and dogs often lie on roads. Please make sure that you bring your driver’s license. We strongly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle that is insured. Please avoid driving at night. Never drink and drive! See below for driving directions.
