On January 12th, Seleem Chan, Hamanasi’s Sustainability Manager, went to Miss Bertie’s Library in Hopkins to hand over two boxes of assorted story books to librarian Danisha Martinez. Located in the center of Hopkins near the school, this library is the main source of literature for the community. The library was thrilled to receive the books and, we are sure the kids will be, too!
Hamanasi continues to collect items for the Hopkins community through the program “Pack for A Purpose”. Through this program, our generous guests bring items for Miss Bertie’s Library, as well as the Holy Family Hopkins School and other schools in neighboring communities. These items include a variety of school supplies for children and reading books for the local library. Additionally, guests bring supplies for the Hopkins Belize Humane Society. If you would like to participate, please see this list of needed items or contact our reservations team with questions. It is heartwarming to give back!
