Hopkins Village Tour on Bicycle
Hop on a bicycle and follow your local guide for a visit to laid back Hopkins, one of the centers of Belize’s Garifuna culture, located just one mile north of Hamanasi.
This adventure will introduce you to the rich culture, history and traditions of this unique Garifuna fishing village. Accompanied by a native Garifuna guide you will visit the local drum maker, a gift shop, a Garifuna temple and many more spots of interest. Hopkins is now home to over 2000 people, and you also may meet locals from Mestizo, Maya and Creole ethnic groups. Immerse yourself in the Garifuna culture, and you’ll soon see why Hopkins was voted Belize’s most friendly village!
Enjoy a full session of drumming lessons, along with some Garifuna dancing lessons.
