Getting to Hamanasi is easiest if you fly
to the Dangriga Airstrip from the international airport.
The flight is approximately 20 minutes. From there we
can meet and transfer you to Hamanasi. The drive is
approximately 40 minutes. There are a variety of airlines
that service Belize.
Airlines flying to Belize International Airport
(BZE):
- American Airlines via Dallas and Miami
- Continental Airlines via Houston and Newark
- Delta Air Lines via Atlanta
- Tikal Jets via Guatemala City and Flores
- TACA via San Salvador
- US Airways via Charlotte
From Belize International Airport you can
connect to Dangriga on Maya Island Air or Tropic Air.
The flight is approximately 20 minutes, typically in a 14-passenger
plane. Technically there is a weight restriction on
these domestic flights of 40 pounds per bag. Most of
our guests’ luggage weighs more than that. If
there are weight or space restrictions on your flight your
luggage will be sent on the next available flight, which could
be the following day. Please be sure to take any valuables
and medications in the cabin with you. During the flight
you'll have great views of the countryside, so keep your camera
handy!
While it is easiest to get to Hamanasi if you
fly, some guests choose to drive. Please be aware of poor
signage, unmarked one lane bridges and slippery conditions.
Please make sure that you bring your driver's license.
We strongly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle that is insured.
Please avoid driving at night.
